Five Little Speckled Frogs

Enjoy this wonderful counting song with your young children. Repeat the verse, taking away a frog each time, and showing that number with your fingers each time, until there are no green speckled frogs (and no fingers left).

Five little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating the most delicious bugs (yum yum)
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
(glub glub)

Four little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating the most delicious bugs (yum yum)
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
(glub glub)

Three little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating the most delicious bugs (yum yum)
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
(glub glub)

Two little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating the most delicious bugs (yum yum)
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
(glub glub)

One little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating the most delicious bugs (yum yum)
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
(glub glub)

No little speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating the most delicious bugs (yum yum)
One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
(glub glub)
[The verse is repeated with one fewer frog each time. The final verse ends “Then there were no green speckled frogs.”]
